Inspector Eligibility
Service condition: Applicant Central Government, State Government ya Union Territory Administration ka serving officer hona chahiye aur neeche di gayi conditions mein se applicable condition meet karni chahiye:
- Parent cadre/department mein analogous post par regular basis par appointed ho; ya
- Parent cadre/department mein Pay Matrix Level-6 ke post par regular appointment ke baad 5 saal ki service complete ki ho.
Education: Kisi bhi discipline mein recognized university se Bachelor’s degree.
Experience: Kam se kam 2 saal ka relevant experience criminal investigation cases, intelligence work/operations, information technology cases, counter-terrorism training ya notification mein specified intelligence agencies/police/enforcement agencies ke specialized intelligence wing se sambandhit vigilance collection mein hona chahiye.
Intelligence experience ke liye Annexure-I(A) mein di gayi specific condition apply hogi. Final eligibility official notification ke exact wording ke according verify karein.
Maximum age: Applications ki last date ko 56 saal se zyada nahi.
Sub-Inspector Eligibility
Service condition: Applicant Central Government, State Government ya Union Territory Administration ka serving officer hona chahiye aur neeche di gayi conditions mein se applicable condition meet karni chahiye:
- Parent cadre/department mein analogous post par regular basis par appointed ho; ya
- Parent cadre/department mein Pay Level-5 (pre-revised Rs. 5200–20200 with Grade Pay Rs. 2800) ke post par regular appointment ke baad 6 saal ki service complete ki ho.
Education: Kisi bhi discipline mein recognized university se Bachelor’s degree.
Experience: 2 saal ka experience criminal investigation cases, intelligence work/operations, Information Technology cases ya counter-terrorism training mein (Annexure-I(B) ke anusaar).
Maximum age: Closing date ko 56 saal se zyada nahi.
Service Conditions (Dono Posts)
- Deputation period ordinarily 3 saal se zyada nahi hoga. Isme pichli ex-cadre deputation ka period bhi judta hai.
- Feeder category ke departmental officers jo direct line of promotion mein hain, deputation ke liye eligible nahi hain.
- Baaki terms DoP&T OM dated 17.06.2010 (as amended) ke hisab se honge.

- Chief Investigation Officer (CIO) ke saath kaam karna
- Raid, search aur seizure team ka hissa banna
- Witness examination mein sahayata
- Crime scene secure karna
- Summons aur warrants execute karna

- Intelligence collect, verify aur analyse karna
- Senior authorities dwara assign ki gayi anya duties
Sub-Inspector ki duties mein custody mein accused ki guarding/security bhi likhi gayi hai.
