- Age Relaxation : Upper age relaxation of 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC, up to 08 years for Ex-Servicemen, and up to 40 years for Departmental candidates as per Central Government rules.

Physical Standard Test (PST) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET) Details
- Male Height & Chest (All India General/OBC/SC) : Height 170 cms | Chest 80 cms (Normal) to 85 cms (Expanded).
- Hill Areas & North Eastern States : Candidates from Garhwal, Kumaon, Dogras, Marathas, Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, HP, J&K, Ladakh: Height 165 cms | Chest 78 – 83 cms.
- All Scheduled Tribe (ST) Male Candidates : Height 162.5 cms | Chest 76 – 81 cms.
- RFID Based Physical Efficiency Test (PET) :
• All India Candidates (except Ladakh): 05 Km Run to qualify within 24 Minutes.
• Ladakh Region Candidates: 1.6 Km Run to qualify within 7.00 Minutes. - Rally Locations : RFID Based PST / PET will be conducted at Jorhat (Assam) or Diphu (Assam) centers.
Selection Process & Examination Scheme
- Stage 1: RFID Based PST/PET & Initial Document Verification
- Stage 2: Computer Based Test (CBT)
- Stage 3: Trade Skill Test (Practical/Computer)
- Stage 4: Detailed Medical Examination (DME) / Review Medical Examination (RME)
- Final Merit List.
- Computer Based Test (CBT) : 100 Marks question paper. Minimum passing marks: 35% for General / EWS candidates and 33% for SC, ST, and OBC candidates.
- Trade Skill Test : Qualifying in nature (No marks awarded). Candidates will be shortlisted for Trade Test & Medicals in a 1:4 ratio based on CBT merit.
- Training & Bond : Selected candidates will be on probation for 2 years. In case of premature resignation or withdrawal from course, refund of full training cost or 3 months pay & allowances is applicable.
How to Apply for Assam Rifles Technical & Tradesman Rally Online Form 2026
- Visit the official website of Assam Rifles at assamrifles.gov.in.
- Click on the “ONLINE APPLICATION” link under the Recruitment section.
- Select the trade/post applied for and fill in personal details, educational qualifications, technical diplomas/certificates, and correspondence address.
- Submit your valid Domicile / Permanent Residential Certificate (PRC) and Category Certificate (State selected cannot be modified later).
- Upload scanned copies of recent photograph, signature, and payment receipt/challan.
- Pay the application fee of Rs. 100/- online or through SBI Bank counters into the official account (exempted for SC/ST/ESM).
- Submit the application on or before 28 October 2026 (23:59 Hrs) and take a clear printout of the submitted application form along with payment receipt to produce at the rally site.
