Department of Posts, India Post, has announced notification for the recruitment of Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS), including posts for Branch Postmaster (BPM) and Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM)/Dak Sevak, across various postal circles nationwide. A total of 23,757 vacancies are expected to be filled through this recruitment drive. Candidates who have passed Secondary School Examination (Class 10th) from a recognized board are eligible to apply online.

- Educational Qualification: Secondary School Examination (10th standard) pass certificate with passing marks in Mathematics and English conducted by any recognized Board of School Education. Candidates must have studied the local language of the respective postal circle up to 10th standard.
- Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 40 years. Permissible relaxations in upper age limit are provided for reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PwD) as per Central Government norms.
- Other Requirements: Knowledge of local language, basic computer operation, and ability to ride a bicycle or motor vehicle.
- Selection Process: Shortlisting is based on a system-generated merit list calculated from 10th Class marks percentage. No weightage is given to higher educational qualifications.

- Visit the official India Post GDS portal at indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.
- Complete initial registration by providing basic details such as Name, Father's Name, Mobile Number, Email ID, Date of Birth, and 10th Pass credentials to obtain a Registration Number.
- Pay the non-refundable application fee online (if applicable).
- Log in using your Registration Number and Password to select the desired Postal Circle and Divisions.
- Upload required document scans, including recent photograph, signature, and mark sheet.
- Review all inputs carefully and submit the application form. Keep a printed copy of the final application for future reference.
Important Instructions & Advice
Applicants are advised to strictly double-check their 10th class total marks, maximum marks, and grade conversion before final submission, as any discrepancy during document verification will lead to immediate cancellation of candidature.
Shortlisted candidates will be summoned for physical document verification at designated postal administrative divisions. Candidates must carry original mark sheets, community certificates, photo identity proof, and self-attested copies when called.
