The Local Self Government Department (LSG), Rajasthan, Jaipur has released an official recruitment notification (Advertisement No. 01/2026) for the engagement of 24,752 contractual Safai Karmchari posts across 183 Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) in the state. Recruitment will be conducted under the provisions of the Rajasthan Contractual Hiring to Civil Posts Rules, 2022. Candidates seeking employment in municipal bodies across Rajasthan can submit their applications online through the official SSO Rajasthan portal before the designated deadline of 28th September 2026.
Eligibility & Selection Criteria
Applicants must satisfy the specified eligibility norms set forth by the LSG Department prior to applying:
- Educational Qualification: No minimum educational qualification is required for this post.
- Work Experience: Candidates must possess at least 1 year of continuous experience in sanitation/cleaning work. The experience certificate must be issued on or after 1st August 2026 and prior to the final application submission date.
- Age Limit: Applicants must be between 21 and 40 years of age calculated as on 1st January 2027. Age relaxations apply as per Rajasthan state government rules.
- Domicile: Only native residents (domicile holders) of Rajasthan are eligible to apply.
- Selection Method: There will be no written examination or skill test. Selection will be made through a Computerized Lottery Process followed by strict document verification. Priority in the lottery is assigned to candidates who hold experience in the specific ULB or district applied for.

Interested candidates can complete their application online through the SSO Rajasthan portal by following these instructions:
- Visit the official SSO Rajasthan portal (sso.rajasthan.gov.in) and log in using your SSO ID and password.
- Navigate to the Citizen Apps (G2C) section and select Recruitment Portal.
- Locate the notification for Rajasthan Safai Karmchari Bharti 2026 and click on 'Apply Now'.
- Complete One Time Registration (OTR) if not done previously, and pay the mandatory OTR application fee.
- Fill in personal particulars, upload a clear live photo, enter visible identification marks, and provide accurate Jan Aadhaar details.
- Review the filled application form thoroughly in the preview mode.
- Submit the form finally to obtain your unique Application ID for future references.
Important Instructions & Advice
Candidates must carefully observe the following guidelines when submitting their applications:
- One ULB Rule: An applicant is allowed to apply for only ONE Urban Local Body out of the 183 ULBs. Submitting applications for multiple ULBs will lead to rejection of all applications.
- Ensure you use your personal SSO ID, active mobile number, and personal email address for registration.
- Incomplete applications without an generated Application ID or those submitted offline will be summarily rejected.
