The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has officially published the recruitment advertisement (Advt. No. D-1/E-1/2026) for the recruitment of Medical Professors and Assistant Professors under the Medical Education Department, U.P. (Allopathy). A total of 1,156 vacancies have been announced, out of which 44 posts are for Professor and 1,112 posts are for Assistant Professor in various allopathic medical specialties.
Interested candidates who fulfill the required educational criteria can submit their applications online starting from 18th August 2026. The last date to complete the online form and deposit the registration fee is 1st September 2026. Candidates are advised to read the detailed official notification to confirm department-wise discipline qualifications before proceeding with their online registration.
Eligibility & Selection Criteria
To be eligible for the UPPSC Medical Recruitment 2026, applicants must satisfy specific age limits and educational standards prescribed by the Commission:
- Professor: Candidates must be between 35 and 55 years of age. They should possess a recognized postgraduate medical qualification (MD/MS/DNB or equivalent) in the respective discipline along with relevant teaching and clinical experience as per Medical Council / National Medical Commission norms.
- Assistant Professor: Candidates must be between 26 and 40 years of age (as on 01/07/2026). Required qualification includes a Master's degree (MD/MS) or recognized doctorate/equivalent qualification in the specialized subject.
The selection mechanism for these teaching posts will consist of three distinct phases:
- Screening Examination: An objective-type test conducted to shortlist candidates if the number of applicants is high.
- Personal Interview: Candidates shortlisted from the initial screening will be invited for an interview before the commission board.
- Document Verification: Final verification of original academic records, registration certificates, and identity proof.
Step-by-Step Application / Download Process
Eligible candidates can complete their application online by adhering to the following step-by-step guidance:
- Visit the official portal of UPPSC at uppsc.up.nic.in and navigate to the "All Notifications/Advertisements" section.
- Ensure that you have completed your One Time Registration (OTR) at otr.pariksha.nic.in at least 72 hours prior to filling out the form.
- Click on the "Apply" button against Advt. No. D-1/E-1/2026 and authenticate using your generated OTR credentials.
- Fill in the essential academic, teaching experience, and personal details relevant to your applied post.
- Proceed to Part-2 of the application form to upload signatures, photographs, and confirm post preferences.
- Pay the requisite application fee using SBI MOPS via Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card, or UPI modes.
- Submit the completed application form and print out a copy of the final confirmation receipt for future reference.
Important Instructions & Advice
Candidates must ensure that all details entered in the UPPSC online form align strictly with their supporting educational documents and registration certificates. After completing the online registration, candidates are required to send self-attested hard copies of all relevant certificates along with the printed application form to the UPPSC office within the stipulated period mentioned in the detailed notification. Incomplete submissions or applications without OTR verification are subject to rejection.
