The Bihar Police Sub-Ordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has officially announced the written examination results for the recruitment of Havildar Instructor (Adhinayak Anudeshak) under Advt No. 05/2026. This recruitment drive is aimed at filling 122 vacant positions within the Bihar Home Guards Services Cadre. The preliminary written examination was successfully conducted on 29th July 2026, and the official result merit list has been published on 12th August 2026.
According to the official announcement, a total of 610 candidates have qualified in the written examination phase and are now eligible to appear for the upcoming Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Candidates who appeared for the exam can check their qualifying status by downloading the PDF merit list directly using their roll numbers.
Eligibility & Selection Criteria
Selection for the BPSSC Havildar Instructor recruitment consists of a multi-stage process designed to evaluate candidates both academically and physically:
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a recognized university in India.
- Age Criteria: As on 01/01/2026, candidates must be between 18 and 37 years of age, with relaxation applicable as per Bihar Government Home Guard Services rules.

- Click on the link titled "Results: Written Examination for the post of Havildar Instructor (Advt. No. 05/2026)".
- Open the PDF document on your smartphone or computer desktop.
- Use the shortcut Ctrl + F (or the search icon on mobile viewers) and type in your 10-digit roll number.
- If your roll number appears in the highlighted list, you have qualified for the Physical Efficiency Test stage. Save the PDF for future reference.
Important Instructions & Advice
Qualified candidates are advised to begin their physical training immediately for the upcoming Physical Efficiency Test (PET). The detailed schedule and admit cards for the PET stage will be released shortly by the commission on its official website. Candidates must also ensure that all original certificates (Educational Certificates, Identity Proof, Caste Certificate, Category Certificates, and Domicile Proof) are kept ready and intact for the document verification stage following the PET round.
